Chicken Recipe Teriyaki Wing Ingredients:
Chicken Recipe Teriyaki Wing is a way of Japanese cooking. The word, teriyaki is a combination of two Japanese words "teri" and "yaki." Teri means luster and yaki means grill or broil. To make a teriyaki dish, ingredients are broiled, roasted or grilled after being marinated in or basted by teriyaki sauce, the below recipe has a twist, it is cooked in a crockpot!

Prep time: 25 to 30 minutes
Cook time: 5 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours
INGREDIENTS:
3 pounds chicken wings (about 16 wings)
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup dry sherry or chicken broth
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
PREPARATION:
Rinse chicken and pat until dry. Cut off and throw away the wing tips. Cut each wing at joint to make two sections. Place wing parts on broiler pan.
Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 20 to 24 minutes, 10 to 12 minutes per side or until chicken is brown. Once that is complete move the chicken to a crockpot.
Mix together the onion, brown sugar, soy sauce, cooking sherry (or chicken broth), ginger and garlic in a medium sized bowl. Pour it over chicken wings once in the crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 1/2 hours or on HIGH for 2 1/5 hours. Stir chicken wings occationally to ensure wings are evenly coated with the sauce.
